Are you struggling with business success?
Most people brainstorm to try and figure out what that missing piece is that is keeping them from their desired business success. Either your business isn’t working quite right, or you are not excelling with your company like you feel you should be. You might think it is because you are missing something – that how-to list, extra help, resources, an updated system, more knowledge, more money, and so on. But the problem is that you are so focused on what is missing, that you don’t realize what you have right in front of you.
Remember the power you already have!
When you are trying to figure out what you need to do with your business, but you don’t know where to start, take a look at what you have going on right in front of you. Here are some things to consider when you are looking for that boost in your business.
1. Focus On What You Already Have and Own It!
I remember starting Tech Finders (way back in 1998) with only a few things: note cards, a phone book, a landline phone, a fax machine, and the most important thing… my all in mindset. That was it. No website, no computer (we didn’t have them yet), no business cards, heck, not even a chair! It actually was quite simple because I had to be resourceful and creative. I learned that I needed to make connections, create trust, and have people just give me a shot! With a few exceptions, these things are still the most important concepts today… even with all our technology and choices! You have the ability to do this right now. You have all the tools you need because you have YOU!
2. Give Yourself a Break!
Rather than thinking about the obstacles and what you don’t have, write a list today of all of the resources that you have right at your fingertips. Think big and write out as many as you can! Maybe it’s an app, your database, a person that could be helpful. Write a long list. Next, circle the top three that would be the most beneficial and the best usage of time. Maybe it is your database that you need to reconnect with, maybe it is learning how to use LinkedIn better, or maybe it is a mentor that you need to have lunch with. Whatever three you pick, make a commitment to yourself: dig in, and own those resources. Pop a comment in the box below and tell me what you came up with. I’d love to hear!!!
3. Dig In!
Yoy really do have what it takes to be magnificent and have a magnificent “life by design,” as I like to call it. It is never too late to restart, ramp up, recreate, do better, or blow the ceiling off the building! Pick your tools and start digging today!!!
